It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Just a few more days left and still more shopping to do! I was swamped with the closing of my Childcare and Craft Fairs, that I decided to do all my shopping this week. I hope that there are still some good finds out there!
Anywho, I thought I would share this Mini Scrapbook Album with you all. I made a few of these for craft fairs and decided to keep one for myself. My also gave one to a fellow friend who's birthday is on Christmas Eve, Jacky. She has been with me through my scrappy journey this year and I really do enjoy sharing with her all of my ideas and dreams. She is definitely a wonderful crafty friend. I hope she likes her Mini Album and her prima goodies for her birthday!
Here are photo's of my Christmas mini Albums. I used Shipping envelopes to make the pages with pockets.
Enjoy!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

I created these cards for a Christmas Card Swap that I hosted in the "Milpitas Scrapbooking Group." I used DCWV's, "La Creme matstack." This card has 2 layers including the card. I used a golden trim and added the green velvet ribbon on top of the trim. I then added the Prima Christmas flower and leaf. I added the pearl center to give it a more elegant look. I printed "Happy Holidays," on my computer and punched it out and added dimensional glue to make it pop. The image of the snowman and the little boy was from the Graphic 45's, Christmas line from last year. Hope that the ladies liked my card as I love theirs! It was a fun swap with great ladies to boot!
These cards were a special order and was made with DCWV's, "The Homemade Christmas Stack." This card has 3 layers total including the card itself. I adhered green velvet ribbong and attached a 3D sticker to it. I also added some tear drop bling on the ribbon. I printed the "Merry Christmas" wording on my printer and distressed the edges with the Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Very simple and fun to make! The customer was wonderful to work with and was so pleased with the results! Thank you so much for allowing me to do this for you!

Zoo Adventure

This Layout was so fun to make for my friend Ronda. I wanted to do this layout as a gift to her before she left for Georgia! She gave me a picture of her family at the Atlanta Zoo. I went the non-traditional route, and decided to use animal prints as flowers. I loaded the layout with tons of animal print flowers as well as prima flowers.
Here are some more details on this layout. I also added a ton of prima bling and flourishes through out.

Behind the photo is an oval shaped Doily that was glimmer misted and glued directly on to the designer paper from DCWV's Mariposa Paper Pad Collection. I then used my Tattered floral sizzix die to cut out the animal print paper in to flowers. I also used 1 of my appliques to add as a flouish and then loaded up with flowers. I added a cut out so that Rona had some room for journaling.
I hope she likes it!

"Ooh... La La"

The designer paper used is from DCWV's, Ciao Bella Paper Stack.
I used an Xacto knife to cut the images on the page that would eitherwise be covered, and lifted it up and tucked the photo behind it.
I used a cream lace and used it as a border on the bottom of the photo. Then I lined the top portion of the cream lace with a navy blue lace.

Prima Flowers were placed to cover a portion of the lace and bottom right corver of the photo.
A Tim Coffey acetate Butterfly was then tucked just slightly underneath the flowers.

The Green Flower Vine Applique was then placed on the top right corner of the photo.
2 Button Sparklers by Webster's Pages, was placed on top of the flowers.

The Paper Images were traced over with yellow, green, red, and clear Sickles.

Pearl Swirls by Prima Marketing were placed randomly throughout the layout.
Thickers Word Stickers were used for the "Ooh La La" title.

WINTER FUN

I used the Tonic Edge Distress Tool on the pictures as well as all of the papers. Then I inked the edges of the papers with Walnut Distress Ink. I used the Tim Holtz, Hardare Findings Die to cut out the decorative chipboard and painted it with Antique Linen Crackle Paint. Then when the paint dried, I inked it with Walnut Distress Ink to accentuate the crackle effect.
Throughout the layout, I tore some edges of the designer papers and used the end tip of a paint brush to curl and add dimension.

Other Items used:
Tim Holtz Film Strip Ribbon
punched out tab to write the date of the picture
Cosmo Cricket, "Lil Man & Snorkel" paper line
Ribbon (Karen Foster line) and a vintage button added to a shipping tag for journaling.
no.3 coin pocket that was stuck behind the smaller photo to serve as the pocket for the tag.
Chipboard bracket sticker

My Thank You Speech

Beverly's "Mona Lisa" (photo of my mother at age 19)
Mixed Media Tag

My website is finally semi-complete. Thank you so much to Romeo Lavarias for putting this together for me! I swear he does not sleep! I will send him a message late at night and he will respond back right away! You are definitely AWESOME MISTER!

I also want to thank my wonderful assistant "Miss Jessica." She is so reliable and always there when I need her! Even if it's to meet up to get some sushi! I just can't believe how lucky I am to have found such a great lady to work with. She says she is not crafty.... but I think she is! She was the first person to have mentioned about this Alice In Wonderful Album idea! YOU TOTALLY ROCK!

Thank you to my sister, Bernellet, for helping me pimp out my craft room (photo's will be posted as soon as I can get it cleaned). She is so Handy! LOVE IT!

Thank you to Derrick Santos for taking my profile photo's and family pictures pro bono! You were rolling in the grass trying to get the best shots even though you were getting itchy! You are pure awesomeness!

Thank you to my Husband Matthew for helping and supporting me through it all and my semi hoarding like personality. I think every scrapper is a little borderline hoarder right?

Thank you to my children for understanding not to mess with mommy's things, even though it's everywhere and staying quiet when mommy is trying to do a video.

Thank you to everyone of you for following me on this journey. It may be a long journey, but we'll get there........

My latest Creations "Thank You" card and my first ATC

So, this went out last week as a gift to some ladies on youtube. Hope they like it! I had a wonderful time creating it for them!

The Thank You card was made by reusing packaging from stamps that I purchased. I cut the plastic packaging to size and folded it into this card. One of the punch out butterfly is actually on the inside of the card.

The ATC card was a medium weight chipboard that was embossed and glimmer misted. Then, I cut out the images of the ladies and the curtain which were digital images that I purchased from http://www.etsy.com/. I added some trim underneath the curtain t give it more of a 3-D affect. I used diamond stickles to highlight the dresses and the curtain.

Hope you guys like it! Enjoy!

Thank You Malisa and new AIW kits available on my Etsy Store!

I received my very first RAK from Malisa and I was so excited that I forgot to cover my address on the package, so I had to do another video later on that day to share my goodies. Malisa was so kind and generous to do this for me. I even received this tag that she made, just especially for me. So beautiful! I think I may have to make one now and send her one for sure!
I had such a wonderful response from everyone regarding my AIW kit that I decided to come up with a new Kit depicting "Wizard of Oz" with a twist.... I'm calling this mini, "Wicked Shoes." Well stay tuned for that one! Have a Wonderful Easter Everyone!

So many ideas so little time!

So, here I am sandwiched between my 2 kids in bed. My husband is out of town and I feel like I could have gotten more done today, but didn't get the chance to do it. I still have thoughts in my head regarding my video tutorials and how I still need to make atleast 1 more, for the Queen Corset, then I should be done. Then on to the next!

My Alice In Wonderland Mini Album

Here is my Corset Page. If you watch the Tim Burton movie, I got this inspiration from the Queen of Hearts. Here, I stamped on the hearts and embossed it with gold Utee, then I outlined the hearts with glue and sprinkled black glitter and then drew in black curvey lines with a black marker. I then added black mesh to some tacky tape and covered it with a vintage ribbon with black trim. Once that was done, I added my eyelets and glued it down onto the page (adding glue to only the sides and bottom of the corset, so that I can slip in a tag from the top. Last, I then added the gold lace.
This is my Mushroom page. I drew the mushrooms myself and used water pencils for the colors. Then, I "painted" Glossy Accents on top of them to give it a shiny look. I cut out the mushrooms and glued it onto a piece of acetate to make the pocket.

My Teacup page was inspired by the Mad Hatter Unbirthday scene. I used my teacup pattern and cut them out. I embossed them with some swirl stamps and distressed all around. Then, I cut some slits on the top portion of some of them, so that I can tuck one on top of the other. I wanted to use this page for tags, so after I was done with the stacking of my teacups, I glued them down onto a piece of cardstock for reinforcement and to make it easy for me to slide my tags back in.

Here my Mad Hatter was cut out from a cereal box. I covered each side with cardstock and glimmer misted them. I sanded the edges down to make it smoother. After that, I wet embossed all around the edges with an embossing pen and added adhesive to my ribbon.

Here is a picture of my Charm. I had alcohol inked my bottle to give it more the aged look. I also added Distress ink along the edges of the "Drink Me" tag. A piece of white thread that was doubled up was used to tie the tag to the bottle.

Here is my cover. I glimmer misted the song sheet and then tore and folded the edges. Once that was done, I glued it on to the cover and then wet embossed all around with gold Utee. I added my doorknob (from 7 gypsies, in case you want to purchase one) key and keyhole. Then I added the Stud swirls (from Prima) and added my gold letters (which is hard to read), but it says "Wonderland." A clock charm used instead of the "O."
I am planning on making a video for all of these pages on Youtube. Some of it will be up tonight and some during the week. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be glad to answer them or maybe make another video for you.

Thank You Laura!

Thank you Laura for being the first to purchase the Alice Kit! I just wanted to let you that I've made a video on Youtube showing all the items that are included in the kit.

And for everyone else that have purchased the kits, I forgot to show the 2 O rings, eyelets, and I have added a few more stamped tags! I will be making videos regarding how to put the Mad Hatter hat together and the corset. Please let me know if there are any other questions you might have or if there are any other tutorials that you would like to see. Thank you so much again!!!!

Lollipop Fabric Roses

Here are the pictures of each individual Lollipop Fabric Rose. They measure approximately 4 inches wide.

My Lollipop Fabric Roses

Over the weekend, I was working on The Alice in Wonderland mini kits and decided that I wanted to check out my local Fabric Supply Store. I happen to stumble upon some BEAUTIFUL Fabrics! It didn't have a name or description as to what type of fabric it was, but I fell in love with it. It had a beautiful design on it that reminded me of lollipop flowers, but with a twist; it also reminded me of roses. So I decided to name them accordingly, "Lollipop Roses." Don't they look exquisite?

My first Post

Alright, so this is my first ever post and am not sure how to make my page look blinged out like the other blogs. Eventually I WILL get there.
I was soo tired earlier from working my usual 12 hour work day, but am suddenly re-energized because now, I just finished my Alice in Wonderland mini scrapbook album. I am so addicted to Youtube to find others who share the same hobby and passion. People around me don't understand why I'm so into this craft, but what can I say, I've loved paper since I can remember.
