Elizabeth Taylor Tribute Tag for Jade

My inspiration for this tag is the beautiful photo of Elizabeth Taylor. One of the most beautiful women in the world. How many people you know have purple eyes?
I made this tag for Jade Moore. She is an amazing artist and truly a great person. I've watched her videos and followed her blog for over a year now and she always comes up with something elegant and dramatic! Thank you so much Jade for promoting my shop in your channel and I hope that you find the trims just what you need for many projects to come!

Have a Wonderful Weekend Everyone!

I thought I'd share some cards I made to you all! I can't believe it's already mid April and I barely finished posting all my new trims on ETSY. Phew.... I'm glad I'm done for now.
I had my 8th year Anniversary yesterday and it was amazing! My husband took the day off and we began our day with Target Shooting! Boy, was I scared. First time I ever shot a gun, and the feeling for me is very much like riding a roller coaster. You know what's going to happen and you want it to happen, but right when it happens, you are like what in the world did I get myself into! Then we went to San Francisco and he took me to a 4 story Fabric Store! So, I was in there for a good 3 hours. LOL
Then, for dinner we went to this beautiful restaurant and to my surprise, we had personalized menu's with our names on it saying: "Happy 8th Year Anniversary Matthew and Beverly." That was awesome!
Anyway, I am so happy to be with this guy! He is so wonderful! I fell inlove AGAIN!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Graphic 45 Altered Object Metal Challenge

Hi Everyone! I absolutely love The Curtain Call Paper Line from Graphic 45 because you can pretty much choose a variety of themed projects under this one collection. From Silent Films, Paris, and my favorite Jazz. I chose to focus on the Jazz portion and wanted to add this to my Mardi Gra Mask. I had a ton of fun creating this piece and Graphic 45's metal staples and paper line, made it easy for me to create this beautiful mask.

I will be making a video on this piece on how I put it together very soon! So tune into my Channel on youtube: Thepiecebypiece

Thank you for stopping by! ENJOY!

Le Cirque 12x12 Layout

I had a really fun time putting this layout together. I found some photo's of my kids from last October and it captures the both of them in one of their natural and goofy moments. It was during my brother-in-law's wedding rehearsal. Brooklyn was a Flower Girl and Elijah was the Ring Bearer. They wore a serious face when walking down the aisle, so not to disappoint, but behind the alter doors, this is what I caught them doing. Being silly and goofy. They so love each other and I hope they continue to be close siblings when they are grown.

Layout Supplies: Graphic 45's Le Cirque paper line
Lace www.thepiecebypiece.etsy.com
Metal Embellishments Discountinued line from Michaels
Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)

ENJOY!

"Crafty Sisterhood"

I made these Tag Cards for a special lady, Bona! Bona was definitely one of the first 10 people I subscribed to when I first discovered mini scrapbook albums. She has not only inspired me, but she is so supportive of all the women who join her in her creative journey.
I've always wanted to join her swaps and her kit club from back in the days, but the timing was never right for me. I ran a Childcare in my home as well as trying to expand my second business online. Not to mention my two young children Brooklyn (7) and Elijah (5) who keep me busy on my down time (what down time?).
Now I have the opportunity to move forward with my creative expression and to continue to expand my online store and guess what? I sent Bona a message for support and she was so willing and happy to help me! I will never forget this Bona! You are the best. Thank you for coming back to Youtube!

It's so hard to do anything with long Nails.

Designer paper is from DCWV from their Ciao Bella line. Flowers from Prima Marketing.

So it's been a fast 2011 so far. I am trying to get this Valentine Mini going and then, more boxes to fill because we are moving at then end of the month. Everything is out of drawers and on top of tables or on the floor. My husband took on one of my hidden junk drawers (there are a lot of those in this house) and I pretended not to notice and closed my eyes. I tried my hardest not to look at what he was putting in the trash... besides, I really don't remember what was in that drawer in the first place.
Tomorrow the Valentines mini should be posted by tomorrow and the youtube video will be up by the end of the week.... and yes, it took me a while to type this up! LOL

HAPPY 2011 Everyone!

Wow, time flies when you are over 30 years old I guess. I lose count now when people ask me how old I am.... I'm sure I'm not the only one. On the bright side, I still get carded! hehehe
Anywho, I started the year with a cold (sniff, sniff). That isn't a bad thing though... I love everything else that's happened so far in 2011. I got to spend the entire weekend with my family and my old and dearest friends. Not a bad way to start the year!
I have some projects coming up this January and I am really excited to share them with you. Here is a Wedding Card I made for my Brother-in-law for their wedding in October. It was extra embellished because I wanted it to have all of my drama into it. I still love making acetate greeting cards. They have that unique touch to it and I love it. Also, it was ok to make it extra bulky because I knew it wasn't going to be mailed out, so I wasn't too worried about it. When I put it in the envelope, it barely closed. (LOL). That's how it is when you try and think outside the box... or in this case.... outside the envelope! hehehe

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Just a few more days left and still more shopping to do! I was swamped with the closing of my Childcare and Craft Fairs, that I decided to do all my shopping this week. I hope that there are still some good finds out there!
Anywho, I thought I would share this Mini Scrapbook Album with you all. I made a few of these for craft fairs and decided to keep one for myself. My also gave one to a fellow friend who's birthday is on Christmas Eve, Jacky. She has been with me through my scrappy journey this year and I really do enjoy sharing with her all of my ideas and dreams. She is definitely a wonderful crafty friend. I hope she likes her Mini Album and her prima goodies for her birthday!
Here are photo's of my Christmas mini Albums. I used Shipping envelopes to make the pages with pockets.
Enjoy!
